Use contacts with permission or another documented basis appropriate to the purpose. Do not buy, scrape, guess, or generate addresses for unsolicited campaigns. Keep consent records and required do-not-contact exclusions.

Before sending

  • Verify the SMTP account and sending-domain configuration.
  • Use an honest From name, subject, and purpose.
  • Keep Status: Subscribe for routine campaigns and review Consent separately.
  • Check applicable suppression, localized unsubscribe behavior, personalization, links, files, and sender limits.
  • Send a test and inspect both content and reply routing.

After sending

Review failures, attributed STOP replies, and complaints. A successful SMTP response is not proof of inbox placement. Reply-based unsubscribe needs an operating receiving connection and app; it is not a hosted unsubscribe link and does not replace any requirements applying to your messages. Use the relevant provider and regulatory guidance for your audience.
